I found this wonderful article related to switching from
Windows to Mac.
As most of you know, I've made the leap a few months back
and now I use Windows only at work, but Ubuntu 9.10 and Mac Leopard at home.
So far the kids are OK with this setup. Both ubuntu have user controls that Windows XP doesn't have unless additional software is purchased, hmm?.
I've realized that after the switch, I rarely have to buy applications I've had to purchase in the past either to protect my pcs from malicious viruses or spam. Being that Ubuntu and Mac are rarely targeted and both have a large collection of open source (Free) alternative applications easily found on the web, I've had no need to purchase antivirus software or constantly scan my pc for spam.
I am open to questions regarding this giant leap.
